It sports same side bell keys, which didn't even come into use until the 1930's for any make or model of saxophone. Your horn in fact dates to the 1960's known as the 20A, and is a lesser copy of their pro Aristocrat model. They were watered down from Buescher's professional lines, using thinner metal, no snaps on the pads, cheapened engraving etc. The Elkhart 'brand' was Buescher's less expensive line of horns, designed for students and marching bands. There is misinformation all over the net regarding this, such as for sale ads, YouTube videos and other online Elkhart specific postings that have naively made the same mistake. The online serial number charts only apply to their pro, Buescher branded lines such as the True Tone, Aristocrat, 400 etc. Buescher in fact maintained separate serial number listings for the two lines. The mistake made likely occurred when you used the online Buescher serial number vs. This is not a 1921 manufactured Buescher.
